Registry Red.es has started cooperation with the National Cybersecurity Institute of Spain (INCIBE) in order to clean its registration database of suspicious and incorrect domain names. Domains with substantive evidence of inaccurate or false registration data will be reported, and the registry may start a special cancellation procedure.
Several registries have announced price changes for their extension(s). .club will increase in three annual steps, .tirol will raise its price by €6,00 and .autos and .best will reduce their prices. Furthermore, .autos will lift its eligibility requirements.
Starting February 25, 2019, Openprovider will send annual registration data reminders to the domain holders of .se and .nu domains. Those “Whois Data Reminder Policy” (WDRP) emails will be quite similar to the emails that we already sent for all generic top level domains, such as .com, and can be white labeled.
Registry EURid has outlined their proposed plans for dealing with UK-based registrants of .eu and .ею domains after the United Kingdom leaves the European Union. Though the plans are not confirmed yet, it looks like such registrants will have limited time to update their domains, or they will lose them.
