    Openprovider, FD Gazelle for the 5th time in a row

     Openprovider, FD Gazelle for 5 times in a row

    We are very happy to communicate that, for the 5th time in a row, Openprovider has been awarded the FD Gazelle for being one of the 772 fastest-growing companies in the Netherlands, West Region.

    The FD Gazellen Awards are prizes presented by Het Financieele Dagblad (part of FD Mediagroep) to the fastest growing companies in the Netherlands. The most important criteria to qualify for the FD Gazellen Awards is the turnover growth of at least 20% over a period of three years (2017-2019).

    The FD Gazelles are divided into twelve categories and three extra prizes (the bronze, silver, and gold FD Gazelles Award) are awarded to the top three per category. The companies are first classified according to the following four regions:

    • – North Region (Friesland, Groningen and Drenthe);
    • – East Region (Utrecht, Overijssel and Gelderland);
    • – South Region  (Zeeland, North Brabant and Limburg);
    • – West Region (North & South Holland, and Flevoland).

    After this first classification, companies are again classified according to the three turnover categories:

    • – Small Turnover: € 250,000 to €2M;
    • – Medium Sales: €2M to €10M;
    • – Large Turnover: € 10M or more.

    Companies in the following categories are excluded: empty holdings, franchisees of large chains, subsidiaries of foreign companies that do not operate autonomously and under their own name, pension funds, foundations, project developers, investing/speculating institutions, and private equity or investment companies.

    The ranking

    As of 2018, the ranking of the FD Gazellen has changed, as revenue growth is no longer the only factor, therefore the employee growth and profitability are also taken into account. The growth of the workforce (permanent and flexible, measured in FTEs) is an indicator of a contribution to employment, and profitability (net profit on turnover) indicates to what extent a company offers added value.

    This year, due to corona measures, the award ceremony will be held online on Thursday, November 19, 2020, at 16h CET, in which we all will get to know the FD Gazellen winners per region, as well as the bronze, silver, and gold FD Gazelles, the top 100 companies, and the name of the company that has won the Oryx prize for the most striking Gazelle.

    We are very honored to belong to this important list of companies in the Netherlands for already 5 years in a row. Even with the current global pandemic circumstances, many awarded companies have been able to grow and it is a great situation to celebrate. We are also eager to know the complete list of winners. We hope to see you online on November 19th.
