Third-party registrants are prohibited from .nl after October 1, 2023
SIDN released a statement on July 19, 2023, about the future of third-party registrants of .nl domain names. Starting on October 1, 2023, it will no longer be possible for third parties to act as the nominal registrants of .nl domain names. SIDN will be changing their general terms and conditions on the same day. You can find more information about this change on SIDN’s website.
LMX.com releases Liquid Domain report for Q2 2023
Giuseppe Graziano, founder and CEO of domain brokerage firm GGRG.com, has released his quarterly Liquid Domain Report over at LMX.com. The term “liquid domains” refers to .com domains on the aftermarket that consist of either 2-4 letters, 2-5 numbers, or 2-3 mixed characters. Many consider this subset of domains to have higher overall liquidity.

Afternic will be rolling out “Lease to Own”
Domain marketplace Afternic announced on July 13, 2023, that will be releasing “Lease to Own”. This new payment option will provide buyers the option to pay for a domain in several monthly installments over time. Find more information on Afternic’s blog.
Agents.ai sold for $125.000
Agents.ai, a new generative AI startup, acquired the agents.ai domain name for $125.000 on July 13, 2023. This record-breaking amount makes this particular sale the biggest publicly reported .ai domain sale on record. On top of that, it is also the highest ccTLD sale reported so far in 2023. The mission of Agents.ai, which is backed by venture capital firm B21, is to empower small and medium-sized businesses by automating repetitive tasks.
.bond surpasses 100.000 registrations
The .bond domain extension surpassed 100,000 registrations on July 13, 2023. This is a remarkable result for a domain extension that only entered General Availability in 2019. Although the .bond extension primarily serves the finance industry, it is open for registration by anybody.
.XYZ registry releases domain sales report for June 2023
The .XYZ registry has released a domain sales report for the month of June 2023, and it contains some interesting findings. Some highlights include the highest grossing premium sales of the month, which were all two-character domains (ch.xyz, da.xyz, sr.xyz, ts.xyz and ux.xyz). Meanwhile, the most popular keywords in sold .xyz domains were ai, app, bet, online, vip, tech, web, shop, art, and coin.
