Registry Afilias will discontinue the eligibility verification process for its extension .organic from the 31st of January 2017. While acceptable use and registration policies that impart guidelines on content still apply, these will be limited to content related to the agriculture, cosmetic and/or the food industry. Those policies are likely to relax in the future as well.

This means that any new registration in .organic will no longer require the asynchronous verification process that currently takes place through verify.organic. Domains will be activated in realtime. Note that the registry will temporarily re-open the Trademark Claims status between the 31st of January 2017 until the 1st of May 2017.

Customers using our API do no longer have to provide additional parameters when registering a .organic domain from that date on.
