We’re thrilled to introduce Laetitia Ribier-Costa, our new Head of Sales! With a rich background in sales, account management, and business development, Laetitia brings a wealth of experience and insight to our company. We sat down with her to discuss her journey, her vision for Openprovider, and what excites her about her new role.
Can you tell us a bit about your background and how it led you to join Openprovider?
I’ve been working in sales since the start of my career – that’s 14 years now! I’ve had the opportunity to grow in various roles, from business development to account management to management positions. I spent six years at LinkedIn, where I learned a lot about account management, business development, talent management, RevOps, and more. Afterward, I moved into consulting, where I spent two years advising startups and scale-ups on growing and scaling more effectively. I was hands-on, building and executing the roadmap myself. It was fulfilling work, but I wanted to make a long-term impact. That led me to Openprovider – I’m eager to apply my experiences here and make a lasting difference.
What excites you most about taking on the role of Head of Sales at Openprovider?
There’s so much potential here. A foundation exists, and now it’s about making it stronger so we can grow at a higher rate and increase profitability. Building on what we already have is very exciting to me.
What are your main priorities and goals for the sales team in the coming months?
First, I want to ensure that everyone on the team has an even stronger skill set. The goal is for each individual to feel empowered and equipped to do their best work. Additionally, we’ll focus on engaging with businesses that bring us the highest margin as quickly as possible. It’s all about smart growth.
What strategies do you plan to implement to help our customers grow and succeed?
First and foremost, we need to have quality conversations with our customers. We need to position ourselves as more than just a domain registrar that offers domains at cost price because we have so much more to offer. We have a wealth of knowledge, insights, and thought leadership that we can share with our customers to help them grow.
What are you most looking forward to in working with our team and community of resellers?
I’m eager to get to know the industry better – it’s entirely new to me! I look forward to understanding our resellers’ needs and bringing them the value they deserve.
How do you balance the demands of a leadership role with personal time or hobbies?
Ah, great question. I haven’t quite found that balance yet, but I know it’s important! This is something I need to work on, and I encourage my team to prioritize their own balance as well.
Can you share a book or podcast that has significantly influenced your professional or personal philosophy?
One book that really stands out is The Sales Acceleration Formula by Mark Roberge, the ex-CRO of HubSpot. For podcasts, I’m a big fan of The Diary of a CEO by Steven Bartlett. I appreciate the questions he asks, the tone he sets, and the quality of guests he invites.
What advice would you give to someone aspiring to a position like yours based on your own experiences?
Whatever your role in a company, get a mentor. Find someone more experienced and successful who has dealt with the challenges you’re facing. It doesn’t necessarily need to be someone in your role, but they should have insights you can learn from. Also, always push yourself out of your comfort zone. Try new things, keep a journal, take note of what works and what doesn’t, and be ready to iterate. Persistence is key, but so is the ability to adjust as you go.
